1. ‘Donnybrook’ and RFT founder Ray Hartmann killed in I-64 crash

Ray Hartmann, 73, was driving east on I-64, just west of I-270, when the Missouri State Highway Patrol says truck tires crashed through his roof. He was transported to a local hospital and died. A semi-truck headed westbound lost two tires that hit the median and went airborne until colliding with the roof of Hartmann’s Chevrolet, according to the patrol. The semi-truck driver drove away from the scene and MSHP caught up with them on Highway 100 near Des Peres. The driver was being cooperative but MSHP couldn’t state whether the driver was aware of the two tires coming loose.
