Belleville man charged for Washington Park shooting

WASHINGTON PARK, Ill.  — Police have arrested a Belleville man in connection with a shooting in the Metro East that sent a victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to Illinois State Police, the investigation started on April 20 after Washington Park police officers asked for assistance with a shooting near 47th Street and Caseyville Avenue at the city boundary of Washington Park and East St. Louis, Ill. Officers arrived to the scene and found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

State police said investigators identified Charles E. Little Jr., 40, as the suspect.
