Man rented storage unit under fake name to steal from neighboring units: Police

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man is accused of renting a store unit under a fake name in order to steal merchandise and property from neighboring units.

According to a probable cause statement from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the burglaries happened between March 9 and April 9 at the Public Storage on Wilson Avenue, located in The Hill neighborhood.

During their investigation, police learned that Kenneth F. Drones, 45, created an online rental account using a fake name with Public Storage in order rent a storage unit and obtain access to the property…
