More dead fish may wash ashore at Lake Nokomis

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is trying to find out what led to over 100 fish dying in Lake Nokomis recently.

In a press release from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, they say they’re working with the DNR to investigate after several species of fish were found dead on the western lakeshore near the boar launch on June 1.

Officials say lake fish can be susceptible to disease this time of year due to the warming water, putting stress on their immune systems…
