This weekend will mark one year since former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark were shot in their home, and the heaviness of that loss is still felt by many who loved and worked with them.
“Item 11, resolution 26-946, honoring the life and legacy of Mark, Melissa, and Gilbert Hortman and proclaiming June 14, 2026 as Mark, Melissa, and Gilbert Hortman Day in Saint Paul,” announced St. Paul City Council President Rebecca Noecker.
