Arrests may be connected to weekend rash of robberies in Minneapolis

Minneapolis Police have arrested 3 juveniles who may be connected with a rash of violent robberies that happened over the past weekend.

Chief Brian O’Hara says two stolen vehicles were reportedly involved in an armed robbery on Garfield Street at around 12:30 p.m. Monday.

He says both both vehicles fled scene, but the SUV was spotted by officers a short time later and a pursuit started.

After around six minutes, the SUV crashed into a bus stop near North Penn and Plymouth avenues.

O’Hara says there were 46 violent crimes between Saturday and Monday.
