TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Voting rights activists rallied together in Tampa hoping to make informed voters out of Hillsborough County residents by holding an info session.
“This year we saw the enactment of some voter legislation that will make it harder for people to access the ballot box,” said Genesis Robinson, executive director of Equal Ground’s education fund and action fund.
Robinson says they’re spreading the word on changes to voter ID requirements and to mail-in ballot signups before voters miss their chance, and they’re getting voters familiar with another big change, a newly drawn congressional map…
