Suncoast’s Corrective Action Plan
The Florida Council Against Sexual Violence placed a rape kit provider in Pinellas County on a corrective action plan. This came after survivors reported waiting between 8 to 12 hours for their forensic exam.
Bethany Barnes, an Investigative Editor who covered this story with the Tampa Bay Times, says Suncoast Center struggled with staffing on the night shift.
