wasn’t originally booked as a benefit, but promoters have since pivoted and will now use all proceeds made from tickets, donations and profits from the venue to assist Gulfport residents as they pick up from Helene and Milton, which leveled the town with storm surge, and wind, respectively.

The lineup will be paid out of pocket by the event organizers.

“We chose Gulfport because it’s not a tourist area and there are a lot of poor and old and alone people in that neighborhood who were devastated,” said Leadfoot Promotions Paul Williams told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay.

Hardcore bands playing the benefit show at St. Pete Brewing Co. on Saturday, Oct. 19 include local outfits No Fraud, Flag Burner and Chilean band Deufori
