A section of a major arterial for commuters and travelers headed from Newberg to Gaston and Hillsboro is closed and will remain shuttered as it undergoes reconstruction.
The nearly four mile stretch of North Valley Road between Ribbon Ridge and Albertson roads was closed July 5 by the Yamhill County roads department. It will remain closed until at least July 20 as contractor Roy Houck Construction reconstructs and paves the popular thoroughfare in the $957,096 project approved by the county.
