LEBANON Ore. (KPTV) – A brush fire burned just over an acre along the South Santiam River in Lebanon on Sunday evening, according to the fire department.
Just after 5 p.m., crews with the Lebanon Fire District were sent to the area of Brewster Road and East Grant Street where a fire had started in trees about 75 feet in from the river.
Crews used a portable pump to attack the fire with water directly from the river and the Oregon Department of Forestry brought a dozer to the fire to build a containment line around the fire to help prevent further spread.
