PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Sherwood community members are raising concerns over the World Forestry Center’s plans to auction off a 64-acre wildlife sanctuary.
The World Forestry Center was established in 1966 as an educational nonprofit organization, aiming to inspire stewardship and sustainable forestry. In 1977, Magness Memorial Tree Farm was donated to the Oregon Parks Foundation by Howard and Panzy Magness, then transferred to the World Forestry Center.
