EUGENE, Ore. – Traffic is blocked at a busy intersection near the edge of Eugene after a high-speed chase ended with a pinned vehicle. At about 4:30 p.m. on January 24, law enforcement from several agencies including the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police began chasing a suspect vehicle that was southbound on Interstate 5 in Linn County. According to law enforcement personnel, the suspect in the incident stole a vehicle at knifepoint in Scio and sped away when deputies with the Linn County Sheriff’s Office tried to stop them.
