Major I-80 bridge replacement at Jeremy Ranch begins in August

PARK CITY, Utah — Drivers who use Interstate 80 between Park City and Salt Lake City should prepare for another major construction project, as the Utah Department of Transportation begins replacing the aging eastbound and westbound bridges at the Jeremy Ranch interchange.

Construction is scheduled to begin in early August and continue through summer 2027.

The project is part of UDOT’s broader effort to modernize I-80 through Parleys Canyon and Summit County, replacing aging infrastructure while minimizing long-term disruptions.

What drivers can expect

To reduce impacts on freeway traffic, UDOT will use Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC), a method that allows crews to build the new bridges adjacent to the existing ones before sliding them into place during short freeway closures…
