SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A missing at-risk hiker was found safe in Big Cottonwood Canyon after a multi-agency search-and-rescue mission on Saturday.
According to Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue (SAR), the at-risk vulnerable adult became separated from their party at Silver Lake at approximately 1 p.m. It was later reported that they were seen near Solitude Village at 3 p.m.
Due to the subject’s vulnerable status and because they were “exceptionally fit and capable of covering ground quickly,” Unified Police conducted an initial search throughout Brighton, Solitude, and upper Big Cottonwood Canyon…
