TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (KUTV) — Jeremy Matthews still remembers thinking he was simply making one last stop before heading out of town for the weekend.
Instead, within seconds of walking into a Taylorsville state liquor store, the then-Utah Highway Patrol sergeant found himself exchanging gunfire with a man prosecutors say chased another driver into the business following a road rage confrontation.
