Intermountain Medical Center in Murray set to re-open after entering restricted access, diverting ambulances

MURRAY, Utah (ABC4) — Access to the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray was being restricted after victims from a shooting in Kearns were transported there on Monday.

Jess Gomez, spokesman for Intermountain Medical Center, confirmed to ABC4.com that the medical center took precautions following the shooting. Law enforcement from about 10 agencies around the Salt Lake Valley are at the hospital.

“As a result of this situation, we have closed the campus,” Gomez explained. The campus has since retracted the ambulance divert status and according to officials, the hospital should resume normal operations soon.
