Utah Democratic Party delegates gather for state nominating convention

SANDY, Utah (KUTV) — Utah Democratic delegates gathered Saturday to nominate candidates for several offices, including the newly drawn First Congressional District.

After a lengthy court battle over redistricting maps, the first district was reconfigured to primarily represent Salt Lake City, which had previously been divided among all four districts. This change makes it more likely a Democratic candidate could win the seat.
