One hospitalized, residents evacuated after fire starts at Draper care center

DRAPER, Utah (KUTV) — One person was hospitalized, and the residents of the Draper Rehabilitation and Care Center were evacuated after a fire started at the center.

Captain Brian Garn with the Draper City Fire Department said firefighters responded to the scene near 12700 South and Fort Street on Wednesday, shortly after 1 p.m.

By the time crews arrived, the building’s sprinkler system had extinguished the flames, leaving only light smoke in the hallway…
