Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office encourages water safety after death at Jordanelle Reservoir

The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging the use of life jackets in the wake of an apparent paddleboarding accident that left James A. Singer, 24, deceased on April 13.

Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Leo Lucey said law enforcement assumes Singer died from a combination of drowning and exposure.

The 24-year-old man was a Salt Lake City resident who recently moved to the area from Illinois. He apparently departed on his paddleboard at the main boat ramp of the Jordanelle Reservoir, according to Lucey…
