Brush fire burns several acres along Jordan River Parkway in West Valley

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (KUTV) — A human-caused brush fire burned two to three acres along the Jordan River Parkway in West Valley City.

Crews were dispatched to the area at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, finding a fire burning near the Utah Cultural Celebration Center at 1355 W 3100 S, according to officials with the West Valley City Fire Department.

Firefighters from West Valley, Murray and Salt Lake City controlled the fire within 20 to 30 minutes and remained at the scene to put out hot spots afterward…
