A San Antonio police detective was suspended for 30 days after officials said he lied about a profanity-laced confrontation with another officer who pulled him over for reckless driving.
Detective Narciso D. Marte initially received a 45-day suspension on March 16, but Police Chief William McManus later agreed to reduce the punishment to a 30-day unpaid suspension, according to city disciplinary records. The suspension runs from May 3 through June 1.
