With a roster full of record-breaking temperatures and plenty of hazy summer days ahead, it’s clear the heat comes out swinging in San Antonio — and according to a new study, it’s got residents breaking into a serious sweat.
Waterboy, a Texas-based hydration brand, released a fresh data set ranking San Antonio as one of the sweatiest cities in America. You read that right: out of a total of 80 cities studied across the United States, the Alamo City was deemed as one of the most damp.
To glean this golden nugget of knowledge, researchers at Waterboy “analyzed 30 years of NOAA climate data across 80 U.S. cities.” Then, they developed a ranking system based off a “hydration demand score,” which accounted for factors like heat index, average temperature, dew point and relative humidity…
