Shuttered San Antonio eatery sets sights on reopening after year-long wait

It has been more than a year since Bellagreen served San Antonio customers from its home in the Jefferson Bank building on Broadway, but the eatery is now making its long-awaited comeback.

The fast-casual bistro closed up shop in May 2025 to weather an extensive construction project that impeded foot traffic, but the scaffolding has since come down, paving the way for Bellagreen’s return. Bellagreen American Bistro, in a news release shared with MySA, said the San Antonio location will soon reopen with a bang, offering customers a sweet discount on desserts. The exact opening date is slated for Tuesday, June 16.

“We’re celebrating with a sweet nod to the city’s iconic 210 area code: the first 210 guests will receive any dessert for just $2.10 with the purchase of an entrée!” the news release said.

Houston-based Bellagreen initially launched in San Antonio in 2024, but ongoing construction and disruptive scaffolding limited customer access to the restaurant. The business decided to close until the renovations were completed and the scaffolding came down, which happened earlier this year…
