Former KSAT meteorologist makes first court appearance in domestic violence case

Delays in an ousted KSAT 12 meteorologist Elliot Wilson’s domestic violence charge are expected to continue. After showing up in court for the first time Wednesday, April 29, a “special prosecutor” was brought down to handle his case.

Wilson appeared in court donning a dark colored suit and slicked back hair – a typical look for those used to seeing him on the air before he parted ways with the station. He sat in court patiently waiting for his public defender – Kellye Fernandez – to arrive. Ultimately, there seemed to be confusion.

After conferring with prosecutors, Fernandez approached Wilson telling him a “special prosecutor” was being called from upstairs rather than the Bexar County District Attorney’s office lawyers handling all the other cases before Judge Melanie Lira…
