SAN ANTONIO — Parts of the Beitel Creek channel are still in need of repair, and we’re told work will soon begin to address safety concerns.
The area drew widespread attention in June 2025, when 11 people were swept away in their vehicles during severe flooding near Beitel Creek.
The City of San Antonio has allocated $8 million in its FY26 budget to repair the Beitel Creek drainage channel. A city spokesperson says that the project is currently in the design phase, with construction expected to begin in early 2027…
