The City Council will vote Thursday on $6.3 million worth of contracts for consultants to oversee a multi-pronged sports and entertainment district downtown and explore ways to generate revenue from it.
The city is proposing hiring Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects LLC to coordinate and manage construction and infrastructure upgrades in the district, which is expected to include an arena for the Spurs surrounded by mixed-use development, a Convention Center expansion and an Alamodome renovation.
