San Antonio has recorded measurable rainfall in each of the last five days. Throughout Bexar County, most have seen between 2 and 5 inches of rain over the past week. The highest totals have been over the western and southern parts of the metro area, with lower rainfall totals from Stone Oak to Hollywood Park and the area near San Antonio International Airport.
However, things are finally set to dry out across South Texas. Rain chances will drop significantly on Sunday, with even lower chances of rain expected by Memorial Day as mostly sunny skies also return. The drier weather will only be temporary, though, as another round of heavy rain will be possible by the middle of this week. Here’s what you can expect.
Sunday’s forecast
A few lingering showers or weak storms are possible early Sunday morning in and around San Antonio. However, overall rain chances will be rather low, at just 20% to 30%. Otherwise, a pleasant morning is expected, as partly cloudy skies accompany cool temps in the upper 60s.
