At the August meeting of the Valley Center Community Planning Group, when Mobility Subcommittee Chairman Chris Barber was giving an update, the group took several questions from members of the audience who were concerned about Valley Center’s Flock cameras.
Valley Center has at least ten of these cameras that take photos of license plates. The last of the many ALPRS (Automated License Plate Recognition) cameras was installed February 2026 on Old Castle just east of Alta Mesa Drive. The majority of the remaining 10 plus cameras were installed in 2025.
