Walmart announces plans to modernize 10 stores in San Diego County

National retailing giant Walmart announced plans this month to modernize 11 of its stores in San Diego County during 2026.

The company said the work will include upgrading layouts, technology and services to offer faster, more convenient shopping, as well as to provide delivery in as little as an hour for most customers.

The changes will include updated pharmacies that offer vaccines and clinical services, new vision centers, an app for navigating stories and advance booking for car repairs…
