Video shows 2 men breaking into popular Chula Vista cafe early morning

CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Two men broke into Galu Cafe on Third Avenue in Chula Vista early Thursday morning, causing $800 in damage to the business’s entrance while leaving empty-handed. Surveillance cameras captured the entire incident at 12:58 a.m., and Chula Vista Police are actively investigating whether the break-in connects to other recent burglaries in the area.

The suspects arrived in a white Toyota SUV and backed into the alley beside the cafe. One man approached the door while the other stood watch. Using a tool to break the glass door, the men gained entry and quickly searched the premises for cash before departing after just five minutes.
