SAN DIEGO — A new national study finds that California is the best state in the country to work in law enforcement—and it’s the second year in a row the state has earned the top spot.
The report, released Monday by the personal finance website WalletHub, analyzed dozens of factors to determine where police officers receive the best overall career opportunities, training, and protections.
To determine the ranking, researchers compared all 50 states and Washington, D.C. across three major categories: opportunity and competition, law enforcement training and requirements, Job hazards and protections.
