ALAMEDA, CA — An 18-year-old resident of Vallejo, Khalid D. Nelson faces charges involving an attempted armed-robbery and shooting in Alameda. Nelson was arrested on August 15, and he remains in custody in lieu of $200,000 bond.
The incident happened at a parking lot at South Shore Center. Alameda police took Nelson into custody that day at 1:54 p.m. He was transported and booked into Alameda County Santa Rita Jail the following day, August 16 at 12:47 a.m.
While wearing a mask, Nelson allegedly brandished a loaded firearm and attempted to rob a victim outside a TJ Maxx store. Evidently, the victim was intending to sell jewelry to the suspect, but their encounter turned into an attempted robbery…
