(KRON)– A San Mateo man was arrested after he was caught breaking into the backyard of a private home and attempting to steal up to $2,000 worth of belongings, according to the San Mateo Police Department (SMPD).
On September 2, around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Highland Avenue after receiving reports of a suspicious person wandering around a private home.
After talking to the person who made the reports, police determined the suspect to be Eduardo Ramirez Acosta and found him near the scene.
