A woman went into labor while snarled in Golden Gate Park traffic on Saturday afternoon, prompting her family to pull over their gray Honda sedan on Crossover Drive near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Capt. Jonathan Baxter, a spokesman for the department, said firefighters responded to a 911 call just after 4:30 p.m. and dispatched a fire engine and an ambulance to the scene.
The ambulance arrived first, he said, but due to traffic, it had to park about two blocks away. Paramedics “ran and hiked into the location just in time to deliver a healthy baby girl,” Baxter said…
