Driver involved in deadly San Francisco Chinatown crash arrested

The 76-year-old driver who crashed into two pedestrians and a restaurant in San Francisco’s Chinatown in March was arrested Friday, the police department said.

Police said they arrested 76-year-old Zhuo Ming Lu in connection with the crash that left one person dead and another injured on March 27. The crash also damaged a restaurant building.

According to authorities, the crash happened at around 7:43 a.m. in the area of Grand Avenue and Jackson Street. Police said preliminary investigation determined Lu was trying to park his vehicle when the vehicle collided with two pedestrians on the sidewalk and then into New Lung Ting Cafe, also known as Pork Chop House…
