A driver was arrested and a teenager was killed after she was ejected from a vehicle early Sunday during a calamitous crash on northbound Interstate 880 near San Leandro, the California Highway Patrol said.
Two sedans initially collided just before 4:20 a.m. just south of Davis Street, officials said. The force of the crash flung a young girl out of the rear passenger seat of a BMW 5351, which was driven by a 19-year-old man, who officials said was arrested on suspicion of DUI, felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter.
