(KRON) — Iconic American apparel retailer Gap is closing its lone Oakland store, KRON4 has learned. The Gap on 3277 Lakeshore Ave. is closing when its lease expires this summer.
It is unknown at this time when that location’s final day of business will be. The San Francisco-founded company did not provide a reason for its decision not to renew its lease in Oakland.

The closest Gap stores in the area, once the Oakland store is closed, will be in San Leandro (factory location) and in San Francisco.
