The Hillsborough Police Department shared images from the operation and said officers had “seized numerous firearms” while carrying out the warrant. The department added that the items “will be held pending further order of the court,” according to the department. Town meeting documents show Hillsborough police have been building out a Drone First Responder program as part of a broader public-safety tech push. The capability appears in recent council agenda packets and implementation updates, according to the Town of Hillsborough. In practice, the setup lets dispatchers and investigators pull an aerial view of a location to size up potential threats before officers go through the door.
