(KRON) — Firefighters in San Jose are responding Wednesday afternoon to a fire at Baker Elementary School. All the students have been safely evacuated, according to San Jose Fire Department officials.
SJFD crews were dispatched to the school on Bucknall Road at 12:14 p.m. on the report of a fire on the roof. The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes, officials said.
By 12:35 p.m., SJFD said there was “no extension to the classroom. Full first alarm has been downgraded to a structure response.”
The response is impacting nearby traffic, fire officials said. People are asked to avoid the area…
