San José is accepting public comments through October 8, 2026, on the environmental review of a proposed townhome development at The Alameda and Emory Street. The proposal would bring 18 three-story homes to a corner parcel that has sat empty since 1965.
The initial environmental review study for the Emory Street Townhomes has been published, according to San Francisco YIMBY. The proposal covers a roughly one-acre site and calls for five structures near Bellarmine College Preparatory and the limited-service College Park Caltrain Station.
The same report says the Dahlin Group is designing the project. Plans include 7,400 square feet of common open space, with a private paseo and setback landscaping between the structures. Construction is expected to take about 18 months from groundbreaking to completion; the estimated project cost has not been shared.
Applicant and Review Status
Reports differ on the applicant’s company affiliation.
