In a peculiar turn of events, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers from the Santa Cruz office responded to an unusual call yesterday evening, involving a man riding a horse and causing a traffic obstruction on Casserly Rd near HWY 152.
The bizarre incident resulted in the rider’s arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) while on horseback, the CHP said.
