Naked man darts onto busy California Highway; Hit by several cars & killed

A fatal incident occurred on US-101 near Leavesley in Gilroy, resulting in the loss of a pedestrian’s life.

At approximately 8:40 PM, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) received reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. The details indicated that a white sedan, identified as a Toyota RAV4, was involved in the incident. The pedestrian, described as a male, reportedly ran into the roadway, naked, and was struck by multiple vehicles.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, discovering the body in the middle of the lanes. Despite efforts, CPR was initiated; however, the pedestrian did not survive the impact.

The events following the collision led to a temporary closure of 2-3 lanes, causing traffic disruptions in the area. The severity of the incident prompted the activation of a SIG ALERT, with authorities shutting down several lanes for investigative and emergency response activities.

A comprehensive investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
