Breezy to windy conditions continue triggering fire weather, beach hazards

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Breezy to windy conditions continue, especially across the mountains, so a Wind Advisory will be in effect from late Sunday through Monday morning. Hazardous beach conditions continue through Monday morning. Elevated fire weather concerns continue through Monday across the interior with low humidities and strong gusts.

Low pressure is over the West, and a disturbance is moving across Nevada. As the system shifts east, pressure gradients will relax. However, it will remain breezy, with gusts mostly below 40 miles per hour, until another disturbance brings yet another round of dry and gusty winds, triggering a Wind Advisory for the North, East, and South Bay Mountains, as well as the Santa Cruz Mountains, from Sunday through late Monday morning. Very dry conditions will accompany these winds, fire is a concern, so be cautious.

High pressure will start to rebuild over California on Monday and will dominate the Bay Area weather through midweek. As a result, a gradual warming trend will develop, especially across inland areas. At the coast, there will be some warming as well, but it will be more moderated, especially once the marine layer re-establishes itself. Toward the end of the week and into next weekend, the marine layer will likely continue to bring low clouds and fog to coastal areas…
