Activists march 50 miles to defend immigrant and indigenous rights

Marchers forge ahead through blistering heat and nosebleeds to accomplish their goal of more than 50 miles in defense of immigrant and indigenous rights. Those involved in the annual three-day walk and rally from June 6 to June 8 began their march at Napa High School and ended in a demonstration at Federal Corrections Institute, Dublin, where activists stood against the creation of all detention facilities.

Along with 30 other groups, the Northern California Coalition for Just Immigration Reform, a group of organizations that advocate for undocumented communities, organized the fourth annual walk.
