Sonoma County prosecutors charged a man with two felonies and one misdemeanor after he allegedly assaulted a 74-year-old man Saturday in Guerneville, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Deputies responded to reports of an assault at about 11 a.m. Saturday near Main and Church streets, where the victim was being treated by Sonoma County Fire Department personnel. Authorities said the man was allegedly struck in the face without provocation and fell to the ground, where the suspect then kicked him in the chest.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment, and the extent of his injuries were not released…
