True-crime show airing features 2004 Sarasota murder case

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Once a suspect in the 2004 murder of Joyce Wishart, a local man who was one of the last people to see her alive is speaking about the woman he knew, and the case that rocked the Suncoast.

“I’ve been covering the news for 62 years. This is one of the worst cases I have ever seen,” said Linda Carson, who was reporting for ABC7 in 2004 when the story first broke.

“Everybody in the Sarasota arts community was flattened,” said Jimmy Dean, a friend of Wishart, but also an early possible suspect in the case…
