Man arrested in Myakka State Park after midnight poaching investigation

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A man was taken into custody after authorities said he was found inside Myakka State Park with two dogs and a side-by-side utility vehicle shortly after midnight June 5.

A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer contacted the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit for help locating a potential poaching suspect inside the park, according to the sheriff’s office.
