SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A lithium-ion battery is being blamed for a house fire that displaced seven people in Sarasota County on Friday.
According to the Sarasota County Fire Department, crews responded to a home in the 7500 block of Castle Avenue after reports of a fire. Officials say the blaze started when a lithium-ion battery caught fire while charging.
