A 34-year-old Wimauma man died Monday morning after the van he was driving crashed into the back of a semi-truck on U.S. 41 in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 6:40 a.m. when a man driving a 2021 Ford van south on U.S. 41 approached South Dock Street near SeaPort Manatee. A 53-year-old Naples man driving a semi-truck was stopped at a stop sign on South Dock Street before making a right turn onto southbound U.S. 41, according to FHP.
